Help

Your nickname -- This will be the name that others will see when you enter the chat.  We suggest that you use your Callsign so others will be able to quickly recognize you.

Group -- The chat group that you want to enter.  Click the Join button to enter the chat group you have provided.   If the chat group name entered is not one that already exists, a new one will be created.  Note: The names are case sensitive so please type it exactly as it appears!

Existing groups -- This lists all of the chat groups that are active.  Enter the group name, then click the Join button to enter.

More Notes

When you enter a chat group a new window will be created on your screen. You will see a list of everyone who is already in the chat room listed in the right hand window. The chat text will appear in the left window. The text you want to submit is entered at the bottom.

You can enter multiple chat rooms at the same time.  Simply return to the chat sign on page and enter a new group.  A new window will appear for each chat group that you join.

When you are ready to leave a chat room, simply close the chat window or switch your browser to a new page. Everyone in the chat room will be notified that you have left.

If you display a new page in your browser or close your browser, the chat window will also close. This is a technical limitation of the Java-based chat application.
