The DX Reflector

Q: How many dx Internet mail list subscribers does it take to announce a new dx station?
A: 1,343
1 to spot the dx and and to post to the mail list that the dxpedition has been spotted;
14 to share similar experiences of working the dx and how the dx could have been worked differently;
7 to complain about the dx operating habits, lack of low band activity, interference to nets, lack of WARC activity, too wide splits, too narrow splits, or not enough cw;
27 to point out the spelling/grammar errors in posts about the dx;
53 to flame the spell checkers;
41 to correct spelling/grammar flames;
6 to argue over whether it's "dx-pedition" or "dxpedition";
another 6 to condemn those 6 as anal-retentive;
156 to write to the list administrator about the dx spot discussion and its inappropriateness to this mail list;
109 to post that this list is not about splits, cw or low band activity and to please take this email exchange to dx-l;
203 to demand that cross posting to grammar-l, spelling-l and dx-l about dx be stopped;
111 to defend the posting to this list saying that we all work dx and therefore the posts *are* relevant to this mail list;
306 to debate which method of working the dx is superior, where to look for him, how many calls it took -5 being the lowest so far and why this is the worst dx pedition EVER;
27 to post URL's where one can see examples of better operations;
14 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's;
3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to this list which makes the dx discussion relevant to this list;
33 to link all posts to date, then quote them including all headers and footers and then add "Me too";
12 to post to the list that they are unsubscribing because they cannot handle the dx controversy;
19 to quote the "Me too's" to say "Me three";
4 to suggest that posters request the dx list FAQ;
43 to ask what is "FAQ";
4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago on the List?"
141 to ask "How do I unsubscribe?"
1 to ask if anyone's heard the dx.......
1 more to ask what country the dx is in....
Sound familiar?

I know a lot of loggers automatically spot DX to the telnet lists when you close the contact and add it to your log. Perhaps this is why we get multiple posts for the same dx...

Now if some one really wanted Another California Station... sigh..

So there you go, and for the flamers ,Their you go and for the spell checkers, ther you go. No put up a Fan Dipole and go work and spot some fresh DX... :)

You should have thrown in one or two to tell the station who really couldn't hear the DX station what report the DX station sent him. Otherwise the poor guy couldn't count the contact.

Don, I guess we can only hope that some of the behaviors you describe are dissipated in the reflectors so that they do not take place on the clusters, or worse, on the air!

Tom, such automatic spotting features are options which can always be turned off. So your word "loggers" should refer to individual operators, not the software programs used by them.

Well Ghosty-poo, you are wrong. Don left the two
Ku Klux Klansmen of freebanders off the list because
neither of seem to have real ham licenses.
Ghost Toastie, you do realize that Ghost Riders was
just another name for the Ku Klux Klan, don't you?
I suspect that you do know and that is why you like to
fill the internet with your hate. I also suspect that
you are a Klansman as you write like you have three of
your sheets to the wind.
Enjoy your next cross burning you neo Nazi of the
internet.
Just my opinion. I could be wrong---NOT!
I've got the marshmallows ready for toasting when you and gutless come to my house to burn your crosses.
Now just go have a nice day while you soak in your
hate filled pot.
Bye now, Cal Neff K4JSR

RE: The DX Reflector

As a general proposition I support the DX web cluster and similar tools. There is a repeater system in our area that transmits the DX postings via a voice synthesizer, listing the frequency etc. I enjoy having this resource on in the background when I am doing other things, as it allows me to follow the “MUF”. I have little interest in most HF DX but, do get more interested as the MUF starts ascending through 24 MHz.

My only complaint about such tools is that some operators resort to very LID like practices when they get the word that there is supposed to be DX on the frequency. I have seen this most prominently on 6 Meters. Local stations will appear on the frequency that I have never before heard on the band. They are obviously running high power, and it seems as if their receiver sensitivity is inversely proportional!

Six Meter Ham’s will work to help other stations ‘work the DX’. During a rough copy QSO, they will break in with short comments such as, ‘he just needs your grid square, he copied your call’. The newbies I have heard on the band have completely different sort of practices. They will make repeated calls, effectively jamming the DX contact, and often never respond to the DX station when he does call them back. If tools like the DX Packet Cluster are used with good sense, and good and gentlemanly radio practices are followed -- everyone will be able to ‘pick up’ this DX contact!

I saw a logger today. Well, thought he was, 'cuz he was big and was wearing boots. But he was also wearing spurs, so I decided he was a cowboy. Especially since he was with two smaller guys, who were also wearing spurs on their boots. So guess they weren't loggers after all. Didn't see an axe. And they weren't chasing reflectors or clusters, but may have been chasing clusters of cows before lunch.

Oh, is this about ham radio? Sorry.

I mean look at the ranting of WA2JJH in the "FINEST HOUR" forum post and then read K4JSR earlier crap and you can tell they must either be the same person or each suffered identical head injuries.

Of course I am sure that the guy saying he is K4JSR here is not actually the real K4JSR -- just some wanna-be that stole his call sign...

Gee, ghost brain, Your Glail Cell Carcinoma must be

the Ghost Riders. You were half right though. Some
folks did call them night riders. The Klan, as your
membership card will show, preferred "Ghost Riders" to
strike fear in the superstitious. Your arguement
using half a truth is like your half posteriored self.
Maybe JJH and I are the same schizophrenic person,
but at least both of I have a legitimate ham license
and am not gutless like you, hiding behind a freebander handle.
Now why don't you be a nice little twerp and go out
and freeband in the middle of the turnpike.
Oh yes, do have a nice day on Mike and I.
I think you could use one since your only fun in life
is irritating radio hams and walking your pet rats.
But then what would anyone expect of someone like you,

Dunno about head injuries...do know that Mike has probably inflicted a few. The man is a Kung Fu killin' machine.

Cal, well, lets just say that between the pickled egg breath and the aroma of Eu De Pe-you that he is constantly emitting since he is a self proclaimed "Sweat Hog", Cal only has to get to within 20 paces of you upwind before symptoms similar to VX gas poisoning begin to manifest themselves. Met Cal. Nice guy. Went through two cases of respirator filters when me and the bride met up with him and his better half for dinner one night. Kinda hard eatin' that way......take a deep breath, remove respirator, take a bite, put respirator back on, you get the drill, okay? Nice guy. What a pal!

RE: The GhostRiderHF Reflector
by GHOSTRIDERHF on January 28, 2005 Mail this to a friend!
Before I have to come over and b*tch slap someone for being ignorant --

Ghost Rider HF – was a volunteer helicopter assault unit – set out to assist in the evacuation of Firebase Ripcord during the Vietnam War. Ripcord was a late-war attempt to destroy Vietcong supply bases in the mountains and rescue as many of the men left as possible.

Ghostrider HF offical designation was Charlie Company, 227TH Assault Helicopter Battalion 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile). They partnered up with A Company 158th Aviation 101st Airborne Division also later called Ghostriders. Although suffering heavy losses they were credited with killing and destroying many enemy forces and supply lines.

By the end of 1974, 23 air assualt and aviation units providing close ground support where joined into one collective taskforce nicknamed GhostRiders.

--

Now of course K4JSR -- it is obvious you never served a day in your life so you will still have no idea how foolish you sound trying to turn the GhostRider name into a racial argument.

I am proud to use the name GhostRiderHF as I am proud to have served -- let me see K4JSR -- you spent your time in Canada???

Cal,

You haven't much room to talk after being part of this post...

-------------------------------------------------

Your life has taken a sudden turn for the worse. Its almost as bad as Dale Ernhardt getting' keeled. Your Momma is wanting you to pony up with your portion of the household expenses, since you are 35 and hold down a full time job at Wally World. Your 290 pound, 5 foot 3 girlfriend has left you after an argument in which you refused to switch to Red Man, which is her favorite brand. You just don't like to share food off the same plate, so why should you have to dip out of the same bag? Your Uncle Daddy's ole' Siltronix and slider are about the only free entertainment available to you these days. After tuning `round way above Channel 40 on the trusty radio and calling "DX LAND, DX LAND.....THIS IS UNIT 41---THE BIG 'UN WORLDWIDE, COME ON!!!" for about 30 minutes, some city slicker smooth talking type breaks squelch and explains that you are in radio no-man's land and trespassin', and that the dreaded Uncle Charlie in the person of Mr. Riley Hollingsworth jest might come a payin' a visit to you to collect an involuntary donation.....what we down here in Dixie call a "Come to Jesus talk". Your face lights up. You know what you have to do. Time to walk the straight and narrow path to the mountain's summit of radio enlightenment. Yes, dear friend, you must become a ham, an amateur radio operator. A person with responsibilities and a bona fide FCC callsign to boot! Fortunately, the fellow who helped lead you by the hand from darkness lives across town. He slowly explains the facts of radio life to you. He keeps each lesson short, simple, and sweet, since your punkin' haid can only absorb so much learnin' as a result of 27 years of shine drinkin' from your Uncle Daddy's still. Every afternoon, he sits you down on the porch of your Momma's house and gives you a lesson that only lasts a few minutes, or a least until the blindin' headaches start up again. What a strange fellow he is. His last name, Fudd, is even stranger.

How about a no-code Technician license? Shack on your belt, kinda like **** on a shingle for breakfast, with a 2 meter ray-de-o. Useful for scoutin' out for revenoo'ers while you're up on the hillside.

If you want to talk overseas and to your cousins a couple of states over than you will need a General licents. Unlike a huntin' kind, this one is good for more than one season!

Don't worry about failing the test 4 or 5 times. You'll eventually work your way through the entire question pool and will pass one fine day. Be sure to bring lots of that Catfish ya caught from the outhouse fishin' hole to bring to the test in case you can bribe the VEC's.

Don't use the cables on your satellite TV dish. They won't work anyway and you won't be watchin' the opry tonight! Don't want to make Momma mad! No Junior, you must git special cable. Go into a Radio Shack and say “I want 200 feet of AWE-GEE 58 cable with the CB connectors on them. Talk real slow as the salesman is kinda slow too. Tell him also that you want gain coax that is sold by the linear foot! If that doesn't werk, try connecting up a pair of old booster cables from that old tractor instead.

You have decided to be a ham. No looking back… or looking frontward for that matter, be sure to donate your CBs to the kids on the block with the lowest grades in school. They will make fine channel 19 truck drivers someday.

Prove that true happiness only occurs when you destroy your neighbor's stereo and TV while modulating 200% on a vestigial sideband. Also your signals are so good that you abnormalize your Smith Chart. In case ya still don't know what a Smith Chart is fer, you can just make up yer own and start callin it by your second cousin's / mother's last name.

Get yourself so banned from QRM.COM that the moderators won't even tell you why! Don't worry tho, you can get fully re-in-stated by telling Fred that you fully support a guy with the callsign K1MAN.

Your new rig is a "Springer" because you like being "Jerry" rigged in your trailer.

Your new trans-match is so good that you load up the Iron Curtain as well as the USA power grid (Killing innocent BPL as well!).

You must never call CQ. Instead you have to say, “Eeeny, meeny, miney, moe, Does anyone hear my ray-de-o?

You come back to someone saying number 9 above by replying, “Fee, Fie, Fo, Fum. You're five-nine with a lot of hum!!!!”

If you ever get an Extra license, you never get on the air again. Instead, you spend all your time on QRM.com and EekHam.net telling yer buddies about how sorry ham radio is getting'.

Get Wilbur interested too, he will sure look better in those boots and a dress he borrowed from his sister Sally while sportin' that fancy newfangled HT on his belt too!

You might be a redneck ham operator if you think “elmering” has something to do with drinking moonshine and sniffing glue at the same time you are tuning your VFO.

After you finished gittin down to dosy doin' with granny and Wilbur at the local ho down show at the barn, you can all go home and git on 80 meaters and start talkin `bout yer old CB's you hacked up fer parts and start broadcastin `bout your new gun collection duct taped to yer fancy jpole / gun rack stealth antenna in dat dere pick up truck ya gotz.

You might be a redneck ham operator if you ever thought that “operatin' illegal” meant you are operatin' a very ill soundin' Astatic Silver Eagle microphone on the air.

Finally, forget about showering fer a month or so and get on yer favorite wife beater t-shirt and go to the hamfest in Dayton. (pronounced dey-tun, not “day-woo” that was what you hit accidently with yer pickup truck last weekend in that bar parking lot) Although it's technically called a “hamfest”, it is really known for its world famous hotdogs. Be sure and bring all yer kids, uncles, aunts, second cousins, ex wives, current wives or sisters or both, girlfriends, moonshine and yer huntin' dogs.

You keep all these things in mind, Junior, and you'll make a fine ham radio operator come that fine day you pass your test. If'n you live north of the Mason-Dixon line, these rules may not apply.

Cal,

No, I am not Ghostrider and I have no other login than the one I am using now. My thoery is that a few of eHam's proprietors are using a few of the logins and that's why they won't do away with them.

In fact, I am in agreement that eHam should ban anonymous posts, however, after being banned from QRZ.COM yesterday for exercising free speech against a no coder spreading lies, I would rather be here on eHam and deal with a few anonymous users than to be one of Fred's clones on QRZ.COM and live with his totalitarian execution of warped justice.

I will be writing an article for eHam about the experience in the next few days. I am certain you will enjoy reading about it.

Now, just to give you an inside view of what's to come, let me say that eHam is entertainment to me and I enjoy reading all of the posts, even the flames directed towards me.

Relax and enjoy!

David ~ KY1V

PS: I want to apologize to everyone reading this thread as I didn't mean to post the entire replay of Cal's story. I had most of it highlited to replace with ... and I accidentally hit the post button. I wish we could edit our posts. That's the only thing that QRZ.COM has over eHam.

Who has room to speak?
by KA4KOE on January 29, 2005 Mail this to a friend!
Congratulations on your cut and paste skills, OM. However, posting a controversial article doesn't change the right or content of what Cal, Mike, or myself can post on this forum.

In fact, myself and others thought the article was quite darn funny; an attempt at humor by pointing out the absurd by being absurd. Ever hear of that method?

And, being from the South (Mike is our token Yankee), we can criticize, laugh, and poke fun at the stereotypes that people have of those that live deep down in the land of cotton.

So, if you don't think it was funny, thats your opinion. We received many emails from those who wanted to know why the article was pulled....even the Eham editorial staff was puzzled why.

Why? Well, the vociferous few loudmouths who love to attack any attempt at humor, albeit successful or not, simply took the fun out of it. So, it was pulled.

These are the persistent trolls who have nothing but bile, hatred, and contempt to offer, no matter what the subject matter or the manner in which it is presented.

Like it or not, we use our callsigns on this forum, and aren't afraid to hide behind nom de plumes.

Anyway, it all boils down to calling it like it is.

David, I am glad to know that you don't like anonymous
posts either. Since you have been banned by QRZ.com you have gained immense credibility with me. I also
refuse to be a Fred clone, but that does not mean that I agree with F***QRZ.com or Hamsexy and I avoid
them. I am a firm supporter of the Bill of Rights
and will fight to the death to protect the US Constitution. I also, along with the other three
motley Horsemen, realize there are *NO* Constitutional
rights to not be offended. Therefore I resolve to
enjoys agreeing and disagreeing with you and any other
Ehamer that has the intestinal fortitude to speak up
and to take whatever heat comes along for his stand.
I for one would be most dismayed if we all agreed about everything!
Meanwhile we can both bask in the knowledge that neither of us are so wimpish as to to be (shudder!)
Fred clones! People would be surprised at the large
number of worthwhile correspondents on Eham who have been banned by Fred and his mince meat minions.
QRZ should become QRZPABLUM.com! What good is something so bland as to have lost all taste? Long live Eham.net!
Long live people who are not afraid to say what they will and be willing to take resposibilty for it without hiding behind anoniminity.
Eham ain't a 12 step program, QRZ needs to take a good
fearless inventory of what it is becoming and could
probably benefit from the other 11 steps as well!

Just use a good AB1 or classA amp.

Got a quad MRF-150 COMBINERLESS AMP strip.
Many rigs put out a clean enough 6W, that simple filters will make or excel commercial rigs.

DX is great with 14W and a simple invertted V.

For the record, some reflectors will not give ANONS ANY lattitude.

RE: The DX Reflector Plenty of it with 14W
by KY1V on January 31, 2005 Mail this to a friend!

Owning a web hosting company for the past 6 years, I have had access to the back ends of hundreds of message boards, with the owners permission, of course.

I have come to learn that a large percentage of Anons maintain both a "known" login as well as a "hidden identity" login.

It seems to be a way for many people to express an "alter ego", so to speak, without having to be responsible to the user community for their actions. It also lets people express emotions that are personal in nature and they would not otherwise express in public.

This is more common on the Internet than most of you would realize. I have also discovered that a significant number of board owners maintain alternate logins. This permits them to interact with the user community on an emotional level while maintaining professionalism using their administrative login.

The sad thing for us on eHam is that the only people whom get to see this is the administrators. It is quite simple for them to match up the IP addresses of those using multiple aliases.

I am most certain they sit back and laugh at those that use multiple logins.

For those using multiple logins, such as a call sign and an Anon, keep in mind, someone inside is watching you.

Before I get flamed, I am well aware their are ways to mask multiple identities, such as using multiple dial-up accounts and such. I for one, maintain over 8000 IP addresses and a dozen of so mail servers with thousands of domains, so maintaining a dozen or so Anons would be a snap, but before you go getting you panties in a wad, let me assure you that I have no problem speaking my mind, whether based on logic or emotion, as I am sure most of you are aware.

The questions is, who has MPD and who doesn't...LOL

eHam - BAN THE ANONS AND KEEP FREE SPEECH!

I mean precisely what I stated. The insiders at eHam, such as Mike, Clinton and others, have the ability to cross reference aliases with IP addresses and can plainly see whom is using multiple aliases, such as a call sign and an anon.

I am quite certain they get a good laugh out of knowing whom is whom. I also have no doubt they each have their own anon. If I managed the site, there would be no anons, everyone would be required to use a verifiable call.

Before I get flamed about verifiable calls, let me just assure you there are several simple ways to verify call signs and users, most of which we use in our web hosting service. Suffice it to say, it can be done.

For the rest of us, we have to rely upon alternative tools, such as writing similarities and other subtle clues in order to identify MPD hams.

Although I would prefer to abolish anons on eHam, I must say that I find some of the trouble they stir up entertaining.

By the way...Cal, I wrote a multi-page discourse to Fred over at QRZ.COM expressing my dissatisfaction with him punishing me for things that other users have gotten away with repeatedly. I provided him with many examples and detailed responses to each.

This afternoon, my access was reinstated. I was requested to make a post acknowledging the policy that is not on his site for all to see.

Here it is...

==============================================
To all concerned:

It has come to my attention that QRZ.COM maintains a policy of "no personal attacks". While this policy is not clearly documented anywhere on the site, it has been conveyed to me directly by the site owner. I understand the site owners desire to maintain this policy and I have agreed to respect that policy.

I have been in discussion with the site owner regarding this policy, it's need to be in effect and its enforcement. I have also requested that the policy be clearly displayed for all to see and know, either by placing it where comments are submitted or by acceptable use policy when you subscribe to use the service.

It is of my opinion that personal attacks are made in many ways, not only through the use of the word YOU, but also by inference. I have discussed this in detail with the site owner and have expressed my concern over permitting personal attacks through inference versus "direct attacks".

Out of respect for the user community and the site owner, I will refrain from making personal attacks in the future.

73,

David ~ KY1V
================================================

Of all the examples I provided, the main difference between my attack...

"You are a LID"...

...and attacks written by the other party...

"KG6JTB --Another die hard elitist who doesn't want to except change and would rather loose the HF bands due to lack of use, rather than save them by eliminating code as a requirement to gain access to HF"...

...is in the fact that I used the word YOU, which QRZ.COM considers a "personal" attack.

I maintain my opinion that an attack by inference is no different than a personal attack, with the exception that one is made by a coward.

I thought I would share this tidbit of information with you all as the level of "personal attacks" on eHam is substantial.

I ask myself, is eHam a product of outcasts from QRZ.COM?

I probably won't be using QRZ.COM again. It was one of my first posts there and it was interesting to see that I got banned withing a week of using the site to make posts. I must be "Evil Ham of the Year".

David ~ KY1V

PS: I maintain my position that no coders are a bunch of lazy appliance operators that perpetuate lies about the impending doom of amateur radio in a lame attempt to convince the dumbest of the so called "elite operators" to assist them in their campaign to eliminate code so they may gain access to HF without putting forth any effort whatsoever.

Interestingly enough, the ones they convince with ease are those they call elitist extras that rampage the amateur bands spewing filth and creating mayhem after having obtained their licenses only after the restructuring (dumbing down) of licensing and the elimination of the 13WPM and 20WPM code tests. In other words, these guys didn't want to learn code either but eventually got off their lazy duffs and did it because they wanted it bad enough. It is ironic that some of them would now permit their fellow freebanders to get a free ride in order to have them join the ranks of their marauding group of cohorts.

Fortunately, those that understand the importance of maintaining tradition and the value of having earned the privilege of a license are not too tired to keep up the good fight, for if we waiver, the freebanders will come in droves and eventually fight for what little spectrum is currently preserved for our last love, CW.

No coders are LIDS!

Since I am not Harry Potter, I just did not think that I needed a "spell checker". :-P
Actually, I spell better than my fat fingers type.
SWL_HAM, you have provided a great and wonderful service to all of us by sharing that URL with us.
Thank you. I'll be incorporating it in the near future. I do want to read a bit more about it before
down loading. Got a grammar and syntax checker?
(Those politicians tax everything! :-D)
David, I am glad that you were able to get back into the good graces with Fred. I don't feel that it is worth the effort to me. I did send an email to Fred asking why I was banned and no one else on the thread,
which was pulled, had been banned. I got no answer.
I still send a small contribution to QRZ because I still use some of their excellent resources. I just
do not feel the necessity to be able to post on a
service run with an "iron whim". I. like you, have
seen many examples of things much more flammable
than I have posted. I have seen people get multiple
warnings and not get banned. As I said, "Ruled with an
iron whim". QRZ is Fred's joint and he is free to run it as he sees fit. I choose not play on his un-even field. No big deal. There are other things to
occupy my feeble mind. One of them is to get KA4KOE
to take his three little pigs and his pet marsh rat
back. You have no idea how hard it is dealing with
Philip. Did you know that his other hobby was being
hurricane bait? :-P That is why we call him "Windy".
David,something that may frighten both of us is the vast number of things that we agree on. And yes, I know that I just ended that sentence with a preposition! I am a curmudgeon and not a writer of
great literature. Therefore, like Shakespeare, I will take being <BARD> from QRZ and will not get angry--
I'll just get <AVON>.

Carl,

Interesting comments.

I didn't argue my point with Fred in order to get back on QRZ.COM, I argued because I like to argue and I knew I was right.

I never liked the format and layout of QRZ.COM, although it is a good resource for call sign data.

I only posted on there because this one turkey started a dozen or so threads on the code-no code issue and his only point was that we needed to drop the code or lose our bands to big business.

At first, I kindly reminded him that a few years ago we were granted new bands. A few months ago, new channels on 60 meters.

Despite what the lazy people are saying, no one (except the power companies) wants our HF bands.

I reminded him it wasn't our sole responsibility to save the bands from some impending demise, and he could do his part by studying the code, getting his license and helping us.

Of course, I proved my point. Not only is he too lazy to learn the code, he is too lazy to save the bands and wants us to do it for him. For that, we get called elitist good ole boy extra lites, or whatever.

Bottom line is, I probably won't use QRZ.COM to make posts again in the future. I tend to agree with your description of the uneven hand of justice administered there.

The guy antagonizing the group got two warnings after me and never got banned, although I found him doing the same thing in over a dozen other threads. I made one personal attack and supported my position with difficult to ignore facts and got booted with no warning!

Simply quite amazing.

Now, lets go troll hunting!

Well.....that's the one down side to the internet. Superior attitudes and pseudo-macho bulls&%t. Everyone's a know-it-all and everyone's a billy-bad-a$$. Nothing you can do about it but just laugh.

I think most folks on the internet and radio act in ways in which they wish they had the courage to act in real life.

Admittedly, I am one abrasive S.O.B. and I go about my days giving my advice and expressing my opinions and the most I get out of anyone is a smile and nod of approval. On the rare occasions when someone does disagree, it's done with the utmost of civility and diplomacy. Never like it's done on the web or on the air. My theory?.......It's hard to get a boot in the ass via your computer monitor or radio speaker and so...ya' tend to read and hear a lot of bullsh&t. These limp noodles feel complete security in their anonymity.

Do like me. Laugh at these nerds. In real life, they would hand over their wives and daughters rather than dispute you.

Nothing worse than the self-important.

KE4ZHN.....

Every post becomes a "pissing contest" for the exact reasons that I posted before.

Most of these guys wouldn't say BOOH if they caught some guy making a pass at his wife......in real life....BUT......

The internet allows them to be the men they wish they truly were. Ballsy and in-your-face!!

On the web....We're all good looking, bad-assed, in your face and intellectual.

Isn't anonymity grand?? haha!

WA2JJH....

I was banned from QRZ.com!!

I was banned because I made the comment that I didn't give a damn about Prince Harry wearing a Nazi uniform. One of the regulars then saw that I was from Louisiana and flamed me for being a.....quote.....stupid, inbred, southern, racist redneck and when I flamed him in return......yep.....I got booted. I noticed that he's still on QRZ.com. I just figured that, as usual, it's open season on us southern boys and he was forgiven for his personal attack. Being from the San Francisco area and all.

QRZ is a friggin' joke. It's run by a guy that's obviously power hungry and doesn't give a damn about the amateur radio hobby. He's just of the attitude that if you don't play the game by his rules, "I'll take my ball and go home." Well.......Pi$$ off, loser.

I have to renew my ticket soon. I know QRZ charges some
minimal fee.

Last time I renewed I used form 610. It has a yellow tint and is only 4 pages long. No FRN or what ever numbers they use these days.

Is the renewal process sooo complicated, I have to use an expeditor/filer?

I might be black listed from QRZ because I am friends with or know of 50 blacklisted hams.

ANY OTHER COMPANIES, do all the leg work/reduction of paper work act types?

Hey at least Price Harry was not caught in a short pink dress!
