On Jan. 8,2006 Amateur Radio will be featured on the National talk show called Talking With Heroes. The show is hosted on Stardust Radio, and is heard around the world.

The guest will be Emery McClendon / KB9IBW of Amateur Radio Military Appreciation Day.

KB9IBW will discuss Amateur Radio, and the role it plays in helping to support our troops, and veteran's with live events, and passing traffic.

Please visit www.armad.net and click on the link to Talking With Heroes to learn more about how to listen in. They are looking for a good Amateur Radio audience during the show, and have expressed a desire in learning more about the hobby to help the public get involved.

Please join in on Jan. 8, 2005 for a program to promote our hobby.
Thank you.

Wow! UFO's and human-alien hybrids, a mix of neo-Christian broadcasting, throw in some far-right-wing stuff, and I bet Art Bell is involved with it telepathically! He's mentally controlling the broadcaster, yeah, that's it! I hear alien music playing in the background!

I think it's great that someone is getting involved in veterans and military family affairs, but the website that is the source for this program seems a bit off the deep end.... <SNICKER>

Mixing Ham Radio with the Militray is a bad idea ???

you must be kidding !

I saw nothing but positive from my experience along side the US Coast Guard at Bell Chase Naval Air Station in New Orleans during the post Katrina recovery and rescue work.

I was there as a Civilian and a Ham Radio op
accepting in comming emergency traffic and handing it to the US Coast Guard Helicopter dispatch desk

What is so bad about helping save lives ?????
