It's too bad, Ms. Bullock, you lose--and it's also too bad, Cleveland county--it may be time to get your fairgrounds management into better, more accomodating hands. The fairgrounds committee has cost your county big time.

I can't say I'm very sympathetic with the fairground committtee. They tried to bleed the hamfest instead of nuture it.
I guess that the town of Shelby will have five years to reflect upon this.
Regards,

Fred

I'm glad to see the Shelby Hamfest moved to a better, more open & clean area, away from the traffic conjestion in Shelby. The Fairgrounds Committee have learned a hard lesson in not being greedy about the fairgrounds. I'll bet it won't be leased any longer to the same folks for $1.00 !! I'll bet also that some heads have been chopped off because of their unwillingness to negotiate a fair amount to the Shelby Amateur Radio Club. I hope they never go back to those stinky fairgrounds ! I for one will buy a ticket to the hamfest for the next 5 years, even if I can't be there. I'll give my entrance ticket to " Lying Bill Kaiser", (W4LBK) because I know he won't buy one !! Willy
