Nice article for Amateur Radio on a nice area of Idaho. Their repeaters and operators will be a godsend for Search and Rescue in the area. A lack of major roads and/or good cellphne coverage in much of Idaho makes it a good place for VHF Radio communications, a lack of population makes dependence on local volunteers to supplement governmental agencies a must also.

As the output of the small Inter-Mountain West News services make the internet I hope and expect that we will see more of this coverage.

There are time I wish that my work had let me stay in Idaho. There is something that can be said for seeing a cattle drive down Main Street.
