Saw the sat and tracked it, but it appeared to be solid bright the whole pass here in the midwest. It was a little low, and never got above about 25deg.

I am thinking the pass was obscured by sunlight. In fact, it might have been reflecting the whole time and made it impossible to see the flashing leds.

This needs to happen during full night and when the sun is far enough over the horizon to not reflect off the sat to actually work I think.
