Ham Radio Operators Lobby Poway Council for Changes:

I live in a small town in central Idaho. The P&Z here wants me to file for a special use permit to the tune of $600.00 per year,re-curring. complete a design review plan that takes 90 days to have the entire P&Z review and then either approve or deny. So, I just said to hell with them and put it up anyway. It is painted green, and it's been a year, and no one, not even the neighbor has noticed. I don't have an amplifier either. All I do, at least 85 to 90% is work with the state and local emergency services. I decided that I was not going to pay $600 bucks a year when I see a ton of other violations in this town, and they do nothing about it.
