Government Shutdown Cancels Ham Radio Trip:

A lot of Hams worldwide were anxiously waiting for the DXpedition to Wake Island. It is a real shame that the US Government shutdown effected the operation, considering all the planning and expense. I do not want to get into a political discussion here, but are the military members stationed there getting any supplies? (I have to bite my tongue at this point)

I really enjoyed the article and hope that the DXpedition will indeed take place and that the participants will be given sufficient notice to replan the trip. I am sure the entire Amateur Radio DX community is hoping for a solution to the problem.
