DRY TORTUGAS, GRID EL84, TO BE ACTIVATED JUNE 14-16, 2014

On June 14, 2014, I, Single Operator Portable, Dan Passaro, AK4PX, will be headed to Dry Tortugas to activate grid EL84 during the ARRL June VHF Contest timeframe and, of course, for some fun in the sun and in the clear blue waters of Garden Key.

Weather permitting, AK4PX will be operating during the contest with the following equipment:

ICOM IC-703Plus
Buddipole 6m two-element Yagi
Buddipole 18ft mast and tripod
EARCH end fed halfwave
GoBox has an internal 9ah cell and I'll also have a separate 18ah cell, all supported by a 27w solar panel.

Bands: 50MHZ (Yagi), 40-10m (EFHW) Modes: SSB

QSL will be by LoTW. A specific Dry Tortugas paper QSL card will be available as well for those who send me a SASE. Your paper QSL is desired but not required.

I may split into the Extra/Advanced portion and listen up in the General portion.
