Unfortunately I did not know David personally but I may of worked him during one of his many DXpeditions. From everything I have read it sounds as if he really was a great ambassador for amateur radio and just a truly wonderful person. May the Lord bless and keep a watchful eye over his family and friends during this most sad and unfortunate time. 73 and RIP David, K3LP, Denny WB9MSM

That's a heartbreaker. Worse because I could see myself ending up in the same situation if my dog were in trouble.

My condolences to his family. He sounds like a stand-up guy.

I worked with David many years ago at Fairchild Space and Defense Corp in Germantown, Md. Being a Golden Retreiver owner I know much they can get to you and I would've done the same. Both he and his beloved dog died.

Unfortunately I did not know David was ham since this was long before I got licensed and I have moved away from the area.

RIP David.
