I would say there are quite a few Jupiter users "out there". We keep a list of all the check ins to the 20 meter Ten-Tec Users Net and what equipment they are using. Out of 150+ stations on the list, at least 50 are using the Jupiter. More Jup's on the list than any other rig. Twice as many Jup's than Omni VI's. I'd say it's an extremely popular rig and they always sound great. Wish there was one in my shack but I am stuck in the 70's/80's with the Triton IV and Omni D.
We have also heard a couple of the new Orion's that are out for beta testing and they sound great as well. Promises to be an awesome offering from Ten-Tec!

Hope you won't mind if I plug a couple of the Ten-Tec nets that are on the air:

20 meter Ten-Tec Net
14.329 every Sunday afternoon
4:30 eastern, 3:30 central, 2:30 mtn., 1:30 pac.

40 meter Ten-Tec Net
7.251 every Sunday afternoon
6:00 eastern, 5:00 central, you get the idea!

The 20 meter net is open to all Ten-Tec users and welcomes Ten-Tec items to be listed for sale, trade, or buy. The 40 meter net covers the newer software defined/DSP Ten-Tec radios. Both nets are of course open to all who wish to check in.
Hope you will all check in to either/both sometime.
Discuss radios on the air where they belong!!!

73 to all and God bless America and our troops.

P.S.: Do not use your browsers back button to go back to edit your post. You will lose everything you have written. ;>)

I apologize for this off-topic note--if you are in preview and you are loosing everything when hitting your browser's back button, you need to fix your browser's cache settings to hold on to the information. In IE, click Tools-Internet Options, select the General tab, choose Settings, and then check Every Time You Start Internet Explorer. In Netscape, click Edit-Preferences, double-click Advanced, and click Cache. Set the memory cache to at least 1024 kb, and the disk cache to a min. of 7680 kb. Then clear both caches. --(from Oct. 2002 issue of PC World magazine).
We now return this forum to it's regularly scheduled program :)

Not a Jup owner but wouldn't mind having one.
Maybe the website manager can post some note like this on the top page in case other guys are having this trouble.

K5UJ- Thanks for that info. It is most helpful. I hate it when that happens. I am using MSN Explorer so I will have to experiment with it a little. I think maybe IE still has control of how it operates. Thanks again. Ed/w4wvw
