I have rebuilt my home made interface for setting up digital modes to HF and VHF radio's using the keying circuit that I posted about a year or so ago, and mostly junk box parts.
I wanted to be able to switch in and out two microphones, one balanced and a D-104, the computer in and out, plus an HF and VHF radio. Also, in this setup my interface has a small 12 volt 1.25 amp "wall wart" power supply "built in" to provide auxiliary power for another radio, scanner, or to power my TNC if I am using it. All is ugly construction but it works well, and is now in operation at KEØVH.
I am using the Hamscope free software offered by Glenn KD5HIO and also have a link to that software on my digital webpage. And, this should be easily adaptable to any amateur station simply by I have now posted complete pictures and have a nice schematic available on my webpage at:
http://www.geocities.com/ke0vh/digital
I had a lot of interest in my last post and want to make the information available in better form. I will be glad to respond to any and all e-mails where there is interest in building one of these that will both save money and be fun. Commercial units are great and offer a lot of features but this is easy, quick, and shouldn't present any problems to anyone who can handle a soldering iron. Plus, it is very affordable.
To view my schematic I offer you will need to go to the website:
http://www.expresspcb.com/ and download the free program to read it.
E-mail me for more information and the schematic at:

You can get the Expresspcb image transfered to a BMP image by using ALT + Print Screen. This will copy the image on the screen to the clipboard. Then just open an instance of Paint and click on paste. Now edit out the Expresspcb stuff so all that remains is the drawing. You may then convert it to JPG or any other image format you want to use. you may also paste the BMP image in a Microsoft Word file for upload to eham.net. I also had problems linking to pages at Geocities.com. Yahoo has strict limits on the free stuff now and if you try to make files available from sub folders or exceed the limits for data transfer you get the problem you have now. It's a pain but there is not much you can do about it. I found it best to make all drawing available in the Article.

Why not move to a real website or publish you own using a hosting service? I use one for $3-4 a month.

Sorry for the trouble about getting to the site. If you cannot get into it, then try again later. I also, as mentioned, am glad to email the schematics to those who would like. And, it is my plan to move the site to QSL.net, but I registered and haven't heard back from the people in charge.

Back when I had my free site under Geocities, my traffic became 50-100 users a day and Geocities would temporarily turn off access to my site for the peak hours of the day, about 0900-2200 local EST. I soon upgraded to their $8 a month hosting and got my own domain www.ke4nyv.com and I never looked back. Geocities free service is great for a website that will hardly or never be looked at ;o)
After upgrading, using Geocities' traffic utility, I saw how much traffic I was really getting and it was a lot :o)

Jack's project will soon be on www.hamuniverse.com.
You will be able to view the schematic without downloading the viewer required on Jack's site on Geocities. No limited access either. Thanks to Jack, KE0VH, for sharing his project with all of us.
