A new reflector has been started for the Yaesu All-mode portable rigs like the FT290R and FT290RII series. I recently have owned both a Yaesu FT690R and a Yaesu FT690RII and though that it would be great to have a common place for owners of these radios to meet. If you have a FT690R/290R/790R or a FT690RII/790RII/290RII come and join, and get in on the fun. These are great Pre-817 portable VHF radios and deserve their own reflector.

The stated purpose of the reflector is:

"This group is dedicated to the great line of Yaesu portable all-mode VHF/UHF radios, like the FT690R/FT290R/FT790R series and the 690RII/290RII/790RII series. Come and discuss these fine radios, post for sale/wanted messages, and offer modifications to make these rigs even better. Membership is open to anyone interested in Yaesu QRP portable radios. "

Hope to see some of these rig owners there.
