New 6-Meter Beacon:

Today, May 18, 2004, the Legion of Indianapolis DXers activated a new 24-hour beacon at 50.069 MHz. Located in grid EM69WT, in the heart of Indianapolis, the 12-watt beacon utilizes a turnstile antenna (horizontally polarized) at 70 feet.

The message, which repeats at 10-second intervals, is as follows: VVV DE W9VW/B W9VW/B EM69WT INDY
