Sounds to me like this would be a good opportunity to send a mobile station into the area and begin making contacts. It might just convince a few people concerning to fact that BPL can be rendered useless in the presence of relatively small and mobile amateur radio station.

"Now the ARRL knows how its members feel. As with recent proposals and petitions from the League, despite evidence, letters, emails, and empassioned pleas the League does what it wants to do on its predetermined path just as the FCC has done to them".

The FCC, taking a page from the ARRL playbook, has now done the same thing. Think anybody at ARRL will get the message? NAHHHHHH! With each successive failure (BPL, antenna bill, 220 Mhz), ARRL just gets more and more strident. All the while, loosing the support of its own constituency.
