CW Training Net

Training
|
Georgia
|
01/01/02 - 12/31/10
|
DESCRIPTION:
The Georgia Training Net (GTN)
Daily 01:00 UTC or 9:00 PM EST
3.702 MHz
GTN meets daily to train CW ops in Traffic Handling. This is a Slow Speed Net, NCS will QRS to your speed.
Training is optional, please send me an e-mail or ask me on the net if you would like training. Otherwise, everyone is welcome to just check-into GTN.
Everyone is welcome, QRP, Fists, you don't even need to like traffic!
The training GTN offers are courses designed to help you send and receive Radiograms. They are very old courses, dating back some 60+ years. They are a part of history and GTN is not the only Slow Speed Net to offer them.
The courses are:
Basic
Advanced
NCS
Liaison
Instructor
You may only take the courses you are interested in. For more information please contact the net manager, Bill Carter KG4FXG at KG4FXG@arrl.net and I will be glad to explain more about the training.
Remember, this is a training net. We welcome mistakes so please check-in or QNI as we call it. NCS will also call you by call sign and check you out of the net later (in about 5 minutes).
If you want to improve your code speed for whatever reason, Traffic, Rag Chewing, Qrp, Public Service - then CW nets might be for you. All Slow Speed Nets run at a different speed, as do different NCS's. One is right for you!
