Here is an exceptionally clean HW-101. Very few marks on the case, all dials and knobs clean and nice. It has stickers on it that say it has been to RTO electronics in 2005. He is the best Heathkit man around. The boards are very clean. I tested all of the tubes and replaced two that were fine but flunked the life test. I also put new finals in it. I already have one of these and I bought this one because it looked so good at the hamfest. The guy who sold it to me said it worked but of course when I got home....no finals. Lesson learned. Anyway. I adjusted the bias (I am not the guy to align this radio. I recommend you do it yourself or have it done before using the radio. I fired it up on 20 meters (that is the antenna I have) and it put out 100 watts. I spoke to Kodiak Alaska and Vancouver Washington from my QTH in Arizona and got 5/9 reports from both. . I HAVE NOT transmitted on any other bands. It receives fine on them. I have pictures I can send showing how nice this radio looks. I am asking $225.00 OBO for the radio. No power supply, microphone or book. Shipping is the actual cost. (About $30.00 from Fed Ex ground.) No PayPal. They hold the money for 21 days and that is unacceptable. They don’t need a loan from me. Postal Money order is fine and I ship right away or you can send a personal check if you don’t mind waiting for it to clear. If you have questions please call me.
