Sonar VHF Model 2307 FM Transceiver
Sonar VHF Model 2307 5 channel FM Transceiver. I tested this transceiver directly from a 12 VDC power supply. It received white noise (static), furthermore, transmitted on 154.120 & 155.530 MHz according to my Optielectronics Frequency Counter. Power output could not be determined because I did not have a method for which to measure it. However, substantially more current was required for transmit as opposed to receive.
This radio is rather heavy, therefore, I assume under normal operating conditions it would transmit 5 watts easily. I does require a battery pak which could easily be built using Nicad or Hydrid cells.
