Dominion CDC154, Glass Insulators
-
Sold!
I have two vintage glass telegraph insulators for sale.
These are 'Dominion' (Canadian) Glass Works items, model CDC154 manufactured in Wallaceburg in 1942.
More info at: (http://www.insulators.info/articles/dominion.htm) or (http://www.nia.org/general/g_natpt1.htm)
Actually, they are usually considered collectors items and are regularly used to adorn desks as paper-weights or in a collection (the weight is about a pound each) but we hams have a better use - don't we?
They are in good condition for their vintage, and have a double-skirt and drip points. Installation was fairly simple as they have a 'screw-thread' inside which will take a threaded-wooden dowel (about 1").
You could throw a wire-dipole between the two and run a couple of KW quite easily!
Asking US$12 ea. (plus postage at cost, which will probably be around $22.00 to lower 48) (I will accept PayPal)
