The ARRL 2005 handbook and others describe a high power 28V DC supply suitable for medium power linears. I am offering a partial kit of components including a key, expensive transformer conservatively rated at 350Watts. About all you will need to build an unregulated version or a 12v version is a bridge rectifier plus a few inexpensive items.
Here is what you will receive
Transformer 120V prim 34v CT sec
2 Sprague electrolytics 22000 uF 25V DC and mounting clamp
DC Voltmeter 15V
Primary on-off switch, fuse holder and fuse, red panel light, AC line socket, 12V fan and guard
