Ameritron AL-1500

My Ameritron AL-1500 is for sale. The amp is about two years old, but has less than 10 hours of operation. It performed very well and is in great shape. I just have too many amps, and it did not find much use.

This is a powerful amp. The AL-1500 delivers 1500 Watts CW output with only 65 Watts drive using the 3CX1500/8877 with minimum exciter wear. Maximum drive is 100 watts so it has power to spare. It operates from 160 through 15 meters.

I am asking $2100 for it but will consider reasonable offers. Although I have the original factory boxes I will not ship because I don’t care to remove the transformer and tube. Therefore it is available only for pickup from the Washington, DC Metropolitan area.
