SET OF SEVEN CRYSTALS FOR 80-METER PHONE - Sold!

ATTENTION AM ENTHUSIASTS WITH VINTAGE RIGS! Here’s a set of seven crystals in FT-243 holders, covering a portion of the phone segment of 75-80 meters. To keep this dialog real old-timey, allow me to state the available frequencies in kilocycles:

3,705, 3,710, 3,715, 3,719, 3,723, 3,734, 3,757

Using my Heathkit HW-16 and an incandescent bulb dummy load, all crystals have been tested to work. First six above were manufactured by Texas Crystals. Ever wonder why a company located in Fort Myers, Florida would name itself Texas Crystals? But I digress here.

To be sold as a set only. Crystals will be shipped in their original little jewel flip-cases. If you inspect the inside you may discover traces of black foam padding--long since turned to dust--used to keep the crystal from sliding around.

Price: $50 (includes shipping and handling*) *You see, I already ‘handled’ the crystals when I tested ‘em.

This was marked by the originator on 2010-02-12 (UTC) as being sold.
