HF Antennas

Webster's BandSpanner High Performance HF Antenna - Sold!

I have for sale a vintage, rare and hard to come by, Webster's High Performance Portable HF Antenna. These antennas, of which are highly sought after in the Ham Radio Community, were only manufactured back in the late 1950's, and since then have not been reproduced. The Webster's Band Spanner antennas are designed to be used for mobile/vehicle/maritime/boat use, camping, field days, portable base stations or emergency communications.

This antenna is the more desirable, and better performing antenna of the two models produced; this is the “long version”, as it is refereed to in the amateur radio community. Fully collapsed, with the antenna inside the carbon fiber coil, the antenna is 60in (5ft) long; and with the antenna fully extended from the coil, it is 120in (10ft) long. And the antenna covers 80-10 Meters, although I have heard they can also be used & tuned outside of band aswell. The antenna is used, in good shape, and works properly.

I was planning on keeping this, and using it for field days, and emergency ops, but it has just been collecting dust, and I could use the money, so I am putting it up for sale. Asking $125 for it, plus shipping; or I can deliver locally if you are in the Seattle/Tacoma area.

This was marked by the originator on 2010-03-29 (UTC) as being sold.
