Test Equipment

Singer FM10C frequency meter/signal generator

This is an old service monitor made for testing NBFM radios. It generates & receives from 0.05 to 588 & 800 to 1288 MHz, including most of the 1.2 GHz band. Also measures deviation & frequency error. Internal timebase is accurate to 0.1 PPM when powered on & 0.015 PPM after ~1 hour warmup at room temperature. Generator output range is -20 to ~-90 dBm. The internal attenuator goes down to -119 dBm but does leak some signal, so I'll include 40 dB of BNC attenuators to use with the generator to reduce the leakage. This is normally only a problem when testing HTs or other "leaky" receivers at 440 MHz. Generator has internal 1 kHz modulation. Unit has no wattmeter or internal load, so transmitter power is coupled in using an antenna on the input (don't transmit into it!) Its receiver has enough sensitivity to measure deviation & frequency error of strong off-air signals. Asking $400. Local pickup from Diamond Bar only, or will deliver to anywhere in LA basin.
