HF Antennas

quarter wave matching line of RG62 for 3.8Mhz

Although this is not an antenna,
you may want it if you are building
an 80m loop or other 80m antenna
with an impedance around 150 ohms.

I have for sale an electrical quarter
wavelength of RG62 91 ohm coax cut
for 3.8 Mhz, with a BNC on one end
and no connector on the other. Cut
and tested on RigExpert analyzer to
act as a short (approx R=Z=0) when the
opposite end is open. RG8X
connectors often fit this cable.

It should transform a resistive
impedance of 160 ohms down to
around 50 ohms at 3.8 Mhz. Please note the
formula for quarterwave lines is Z(radio)*Z(ant)=Z(coax)*Z(coax)
it is not a general 3:1 transformer
nor is it broadband.

This is a new cut and has not been left outside. Turns out I don't
need this to match what I've built ... but maybe someone else
does.

Please make a resonable offer.

Shipping by priority mail is at
cost, usually $10 or $15 depending
on which flat rate box it fits
into.
