Yaesu FT-1000D

For Sale: I have decided to part with my FT-1000D radio which I purchased new in 1989. During those years, it was used as my primary radio for about a year, then as a portion of my contest station since it had dual antenna input to allow low band reception. This radio has had only occasional use since one of my stations is active only during contests and I contest only every few years. If you are not familiar with the radio, this web site will be helpful:

Regarding this rig, I believe it has the optional CW filter installed and some modifications have been performed. Those mods were commercially sold and suggested at the time. I know that I replaced a lot of diodes and changed the display for CW tuning. I have the original box and manual. I recently used this radio during the ARRL CW and SSB contests. I believe it to be in complete operating order. Cosmetically, there are some scratches on the top near the VOX control lid. This does not bother me as it is on the second tier at my station and is above eye level or covered with other station equipment. I would be pleased to send photos of the station do demonstrate condition and proof of ownership. I believe this equipment is worth $1500 and would ask you to contact me if serious about purchasing. I have a short video on my iPhone which I can email demonstrating how the radio works on 80SSB using my receive antenna if anyone wishes to hear it.
