Keyers & Keys

Marconi-style key

SOLD: A Marconi-style key (s/n 43523), hand-made by well-known instrument maker Derek Stillwell, in Shrewsbury, England. The base, 7x3x3/4, is made of Portuguese marble (there is a small chip on one corner of the base). The arm is solid brass, ½ square and 7 long. The original knob, shown in the foreground of the photo, has a small chip in the top. The knob on the key was made by me, because I found the original knob too wide for comfort. The key weighs over 2 1/2 pounds. Asking $115, which includes shipping and insurance - CONUS only.
