Amplifier Parts

Capacitor Oil Filled 4uF 5KV $48 all three, low

NOS high voltage capacitors from Plastic Capacitors, Inc. P/N LK50-405 which is a 4 µF 5,000 VDCW.
Lot of 3 capacitors being offered.

Here is a link to the manufacturer’s site:

Tired of messing with big electrolytics? Try out the original.
These are oil impregnated and oil filled. They have hot tin steel sealed cases with grey paint. These are rugged capacitors that you can use for a plate supply.

Size is 3 3/4" wide, 2 1/4" deep, 6 1/4" tall for the can and 7 3/8" tall overall.

Auction includes the metal mounting hardware to mount to a chassis. These grab the top lip and go down to the chassis making it really easy to mount securely.

They were hi pot tested with the Hipotronics tester. They were charged up to a bit over full voltage to ensure it there were no breakdowns. All three were tested and left at voltage for a time and there were no problems.

Purchased in the mid 70's for an amplifier supply. They have been from here to there as I moved, losing their new look along the way. Images show dried on masking tape residue and I tried to remove with lacquer thinner which wanted to remove the battleship grey paint. So I left it along with the rest of the dirt. I have a bunch of images if you want to see more.

Shipping will be USPS Priority Mail, $13. International shipping is accepted but you must pay for a method that has tracking and ask for a price quote before bidding.

Thanks for looking. If you are interested, I am also listing a big oil filled: 80 µF at 4 KV GE Pyranol. Used but good. Serious stuff, this one.
