SCAMS

FRAUD SCAM UPDATE >>> WA9C

I JUST SPOKE AT LENGTH WITH THE REAL WA9C VIA LANDLINE.

HE WILL BE POSTING INFO HERE AS HE THINKS WILL BE OF USE TO PROTECT OUR HAM RADIO BROTHERS AND SISTERS.

BE CAREFUL, VERIFY, IF IN DOUBT SAY NO. DO NOT GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION THAT IS NOT PUBLIC.

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER CLICK ON AN EMAIL LINK FROM A BUYER OR SELLER AS YOU MAY HAVE JUST DOWNLOADED A VIRUS THAT WILL HARVEST YOU USER ID'S AND PASSWORDS.

IF YOU HAVE BEEN SCAMMED STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING. RUN A VIRUS PROGRAM TO SEE IF YOUR COMPUTER IS INFECTED. IF NOT GREAT. IF YES GET RID OF IT EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO PAY A TECH.

>>>>A MUST DO>>>> CALL YOUR FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS AND WARN THEM ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED.

THEN CHANGE AT LEAST YOUR BANK OR OTHER FINANCIAL LOGIN INFO.

>>>>READ READ READ>>>>>: NO WESTERN UNION OR MONEY GRAM>>> NOW READ IT AGAIN.

STAY SAFE, 73, ROGER
