HF Antennas

17 METER MONO-BANDER

17 Meter Homebrew Three Element Yagi…This antenna was fashioned from a Mosley TA-33 that I bought at a flea market that turned out to have some traps missing, and after hearing the price of the traps, I decided to turn this into a 17meter monobander…Boom length is 12 feet, and the elements are half wave 17 meter elements..The matching section is a homebrew hairpin match which I built…
Of course bear in mind that with very little element length changes, this antenna could easily be converted for use as a 3 element 15 or 10 meter beam..
I’m not sure if there is enough extension left in the tip portions to go to 20 meters, but it could be brought down to 20 meters with not too much effort…It even has A Hy Gain BN-86 balun is included…$100.00 pick up on Long Island, NY..should be an easy disassembly.. In the pic the antenna is shown in the down position to avoid damage from hurricane SANDY….email me for any more details…BOB
