Kenwood TK-730(H)G VHF, 32-Channel, Remote Head, 1
Radio was purchased a couple of years ago to
put put into mobile service and I just never got
around to it. It's just been sitting on a shelf in
the shack gathering dust.
According to info on the internet, feel free to
research yourself, the G seriesTK-730's are
capable of wide and narrow band operation.
This is a remote head unit, featuring the full-
sized remote head.
Radio has the 8K chips installed giving you 32
channels in two groups of 16. In Motorola-
speak that would be 32 modes in two zones of
When operated at high power, radio draws 25A.
The mounting shelf is included, but I do not
have a bracket for the remote speaker. Power
cable is also included as well as the mounting
ears for the control head.
This would be a great radio for replacing the
VHF Motorola Spectras our there that were not
narrow band capable.
Channel capacity can be increased to 160
channels by changing two chips, one in the
radio and one in the control head. Chips are
available on ebay for $10.
