Collins 204F-1 Linear Amplifier

For Sale: Collins 204F-1 linear amplifier. This is the rig for the Collins collector who thinks he has everything. It is in excellent condition cosmetically, with very light superficial rust on the tops of some of the power supply transformers. Other than that the chassis, cabinet and components are very clean. It comes with two 4CX1000 Eimac tubes installed, plus three used tubes, and a copy of the service manual. This amplifier was in service about five years ago with legal limit output running one final. Using both tubes 2.5kW continuous duty is no problem. This amplifier is capable of two pre-tuned channels that are instantly switchable and covers 2 to 30 mHz. It is set up for 100 watt input drive. Interestingly, two of the spare tubes are in boxes that are addressed to Barry Goldwater, K7UGA and came directly from the U.S. Air Force. Check youTube for a video of Sen. (and president) Goldwater and his 204F-1 located in his shack in Arizona. I have no reason to believe that it was owned by him. Price is $5500.00 with no guarantees or warrantees expressed or implied. It is currently residing in northwestern Montana for personal pickup only. It weighs in at approximately 600 pounds. If interested contact me by email at: nollkamper47@hotmail.com. Thanks for your interest. Roy, K7JAQ.
