SCAMS

static-50-46-245-23.evrt.wa.frontiernet.net

BEWARE K5LEG@gmail.com

There is a user of this board that has
hijacked the gmail account of K5LEG. The
email address is k5leg@gmail.com. This
scammer has posted for sale a TH-D72A on
this board. They have also responded to a
wanted ad that I placed for one of these
radios. When I said I would purchase it, he
gave me an address in Magnolia, Arkansas. It
appears to be a rural route address of some
sort. Likely the scammer is using that
address and is picking up the mail before the
actual addressee knows about it. I spoke with
James O Walker this evening, the "owner" of
K5LEG. He stated that he has not been active
in amateur radio for several years and that
the listings were not being placed by him.
Beware if you encounter anyone on this
board that uses an address different than
their official QRZ address.
