VHF/UHF Radios

c-76-110-109-187.hsd1.fl.comcast.net

Like New IC-92AD + Extras

What makes this radio different from others you may see advertised here is this radio only has about 5 hours use on it.

I can not reach a D-Star repeater from my house and I have another FM HT and an ID-880H in my car. Most of the 5 hours was programming, scanning and working satellites but I like my IC-W32A better for satellites because of the dual VFO controls and I have a dedicated scanner. Not using it except to charge the battery so I want to sell it and need money for another use. There are no scratches, nicks, marks, or anything else wrong with the radio. It does work fine and does do D-Star just fine when I drive about 20 miles further south. I don't think you could tell the difference between this and a new one side by side. I do not smoke and it has never been near anyone who does. It has mostly just sat in my shack and had the battery charged every week just in case I ever needed to use it. The charger shuts off automatically when charged so it usually takes just a couple of minutes.

This is Icom's top of the line D-Star hand held. This is by far the best made HT I have ever seen. Real metal case and chassis, Solid feel to the buttons and controls. Their other D-Star HT's like the ID-31 and ID-51 are the typical plastic cases. Just not the heavy duty commercial quality of the 91 and 92 Series. Submersible to 3 feet for 30 Minutes. (I have never tested that but it is what the book says and I have seen it demonstrated.) This makes it great for use in emergency conditions like storms or ARES activations. The belt clip was greatly improved from the 91 to the 92 and is likely to never come off, but if you dropped it the 92 would be expected to continue working. Don't try that with a plastic case radio.

It transmits D-Star (DV) and FM and FM-N on the 144-148 and 420-450 bands. It is dual band and you can have VHF or UHF on either or both bands, or one of each. D-Star works on the bottom band (B) so you can only connect to 1 D-Star repeater at a time. Of course you can program in as many as you want as well as all the other bands. You can also have a priority frequency set and it will go to that when a signal is detected. (Like the NWS or Net control or ARES control or SKYWARN, etc.)

Included is the RS-92 Remote Control and Programming software from Icom and the OPC-1799 Data Cable to connect to a PC. This permits both programming the radio and operating it from the PC screen. It is really easy to program all your local repeaters (FM and D-Star) including programming link and unlink commands for D-Star. Just like filling out a spreadsheet. Also is the LC-168 Case. All original boxes, manuals, unused warranty card. Also the Nifty Manuals for the radio.

There are 1304 memories available. That's because the radio receives AM from .495-29.995 MHz (broadcast and International Shortwave, 118-137 MHz (aircraft), and 222-330 MHz. It receives FM from 1.625-999.990 MHz. So you can receive the 220 and 900 Mhz Ham bands (but not transmit on them) plus National Weather Service and all kinds of other stuff. It receives WFM from 76-108 MHz (for Broadcast stations) and 175-222 and 470-770 MHz. The rubber duck works great for FM Broadcast, Aircraft, NWS, and Ham Bands. You would probably want to use a different antenna for higher or lower frequencies.

Shipping to US 50 States only by Priority Mail included in firm reduced price of $550. PayPal OK with no extra fee. Checks and money orders must clear before shipment. Best contact AJ4XM (at) Yahoo. The pictures are of the actual items you will receive.
