I have a Yaesu FT-857D for sale (or possibly
trade). Electronically, the radio is in great
shape; it was recently serviced by Burghardt
Radio Repair Inc (had a 2m transmit issue that
was fixed). The radio has been used mobile and
shows some minor wear, scratches, etc.
Mechanically, there are two issues. One is that
the the volume/squelch knob is bent just a little.
Both knobs operate, but you may have to use
two hands (e.g. hold the squelch knob to turn
the volume knob). The second issue is the little
piece of plastic that locks the front control panel
into the rig or the mounting bracket chipped off.
Operationally, the radio works great. Pictures on
The radio comes with the original box, manual,
microphone, power cable with Anderson
Powerpole connectors and the following
- Collins SSB Filter
- LDG FT Meter
- LDG Z-100 Tuner with cables
- MH-59A8J DTMF mic
- Mobile mounting bracket
- Remote mount/separation cables
- Programming and data cables
- W2ENY headse
Taking into account the two mechanical issues
described as well as the $200 plus in extras - I
am asking $600 for the package. I would be
interested in trades (plus cash as appropriate)
for the following: SGC SG-500 amp, IC-
706MK2G, IC-7000, FT-897D, FT-847, FT-920,
a Uniden Homepatrol 1 digital scanner (+ cash).
I am willing to entertain offers.
