Not sure how to post photos from my tablet but I can email lots to you.
Selling my used but in excellent condition Icom IC-251A. I am the third owner of this radio. Reason for selling is that I just purchased an FT-817 as I wanted something more portable for vhf weak signal/hiking. This rig has to go now as since i only have so much desktop space.

Lets get the bad stuff out of the way: The AF knob, the RF power knob, and the squelch knob are a little touchy. What I mean by this is that it takes a steady hand to get them in the correct position. They work, but do show their age. For instance, the radio does a full 10 watts output as seen in the picture below. That's it for the bad.

The good: Everything else works 100%. The power output is a full 10 watts. I have made a few SSB contacts using the rig to drive a 50 watt amp on both ssb and FM. I have talked to one local ham for a little over an hour and did not drift at all. I adjusted the RIT just a few hz to make his voice sound more like his on FM, but he did not have to chase me around. The power was continuous and never wavered. Also comes with the power cable and a printed and bound owners manual.

FM sounds good on both rx and tx. All LED's and lights work. The original mic works as it should. Buttons work as designed. Memory mode works. Built in power supply works. VFO spins freely. Plastic is clean and clear. There are a few superficial scratches on the radio.

I would rate the over all physical appearance of the old Icom at 7/10 and the electronics at 8/10 because of the twitchiness of the knobs as listed above. But to re-emphasize, they do not affect the function of the radio once set. This radio has never been around tobacco and the mike is not full of leftovers (gross).

Price is $225 shipped from Knoxville, and as always, local pickup is an option. Alaska and HI may be a little more. Paypal as primary means of payment, but DO NOT SEND IT TO THE LISTED EMAIL ACCOUNT! I use Mrs. N4EGA account and will give it to you when we agree upon the sale. Sorry, but I will not ship this overseas. You must be in the USA.
