K3

Caution.
As of 02/28/14.
There is a seller of a loaded, newer, K3 that is requesting payment in advance...and the money order made payable to a third party that is at a different address and is not the seller.

I almost fell for this....

I won't name the person because I don't know if the person is running a scam or not.

But, I think so.

My advice is to use COD or PayPal with any seller and if you do send payment in advance make the payment payable directly to the owner/seller. In this way the recipient must provide positive ID to cash the Money order or cashiers check.
Also verify that the address in the QRZ and FCC database matches with the person you are dealing with.

In this case the FCC database and QRZ show a P.O. Box number.
In this case the "seller" could be a SK and someone is using the call as a cover.

You could still be scammed ...but there is less of a chance.
