For Sale - One Pair used Eimac 3CX800A7 Tubes

For Sale - One Pair of used Eimac
3CX800A7 Amplifier Tubes, $500 (PayPal OK).
These tubes were removed from a
working HF amplifier. They have
been tested, one at a time, and
both have good output with moderate
grid current.
This pair of tubes would be great
for converting an Alpha 76A, 78, or
374A from the smaller and more
expensive 3CX400 (8874) tubes to
the more readily available 3CX800.
The 3-tube Alpha 76PA or CA
amplifiers are a drop-in conversion
to a pair of 3CX800A7 tubes, with
only a small filament transformer
needing to be added. Information on
these conversions is on the
internet from a number of sources.
Test data for each tube (both
tubes similar): 20w drive, Ip
380ma, Ig 20ma, output 490w. These
are a good pair of used tubes,
1500w output, 50ma Ig in a 1500w
amp. New Eimac 3CX800A7 tubes sell
new for as much as $1100 EACH!
