HF Antennas

Hy-Gain TH11DX 5 band beam

Downsizing from 20 acres to 1 acre:
Hy-Gain TH-11DX 5 band beam for
sale. This antenna was purchased
new in 1998 from Hy-Gain / Telex,
has been in storage for the past 2
years. It served without fault for
14 years up 70 feet, handled snow
and wind loads with ease and is in
excellent condition. The only
corrosion seen was on the DC coil
assembly, an inductor located
across the balun to bleed static
off, so a new one was purchased
from MFJ, now the owner of Hy-Gain.
Boom is 24 long, boom dia. is 2,
longest element is 37 turning
radius is 22 and max wind surface
area is 12.5 sq. ft. Weight is 88
lb. Published gain figures vary
from a minimum of 7.5 dBi on 12 m
(8.6 dBi on 20m) to a maximum of
9.2 dBi on 10m. Price is $350.00
picked up in Billings, MT.
Current new prices are $1111.95
from DX Engineering or $1199.95
from Hy-Gain / MFJ. The long log-
cell style feed assembly is intact
and the elements are intact full
length which will save the
purchaser many hours of assembly
time. Longest piece is 18 5. I
do not want to break it down
further, however am willing to
deliver it within MT or to states
that border MT for $0.50 per round
trip mile. Payment via PayPal is
preferred. Contact K7AJM at or or (406) 281-
