ZV1009 Electron Tube UHF Oscillator, fs/ft

Hi all, KB2WYL here. Tonight I picked up
some military salvage equipment (spectrum
analyzer) that was from an old ham who
passed away. A lot of this stuff is over my
head in that I have never experimented with
these specific kinds of components before.
So I started to do some research and came
up with "ZV1009" electron tube. As I figured
(military spending, and engineering), it
fetches a pretty hefty price tag. This one
was/is inside of a heavy brass enclosure with
a mechanism that works like a slide flute,
slides some plungers up and down above the
tube inside the cavity to tune it's resonance.
The tube accepts between 15-500v and
resonates from about 1-6.5Ghz. I found all
the spec sheets, if you want any info e-mail
me and I'll send you the links. I am sure this
thing works as this equipment was actually
complete and it's in pristine condition. In
any case, I picked up all of the equipment for
parts for the amateur radio hobby myself,
and I don't see I'll ever have a use for this
thing. But it's so nice, and I figure probably
pretty rare (only found 1 listed on e-bay even
in sold listings), I'd like to see someone get
some use for it. The Ebay listing was for
$149, and surplus sales of Nebraska has one
for $500, and the couple of supply
companies where I found it listed were
around $400. All that I was is an antenna
tuner or the parts to make one because I am
tired of this ATU in my 756 original being so
finicky. I already have a big variable cap
from another surplus pull, so even just a big
variable inductor would be great. Anyone
want to trade? Value is not of concern, I'd
like to see someone get some use of it and
I'd like to get my tuner project going so we
both win. Let me know, and thanks.
