Homebrew Kilowatt Amplifier 4-1000A

This is a great homebrew amplifier using a single
Eimac 4-1000A tube. It was originally built by W7LFA who built a number of them. It was originally grounded grid but I have converted it to grounded cathode by installing a regulated 500 vdc screen supply and a regulated -63 vdc control grid supply.
The following are some of the features of the amp
-5000 vdc power supply using Peter Dahl HV transformer.
-HV diodes.
-Two sets of filter capacitors.
-Step start using timer relay.
-Dynamic bias - no idle plate current.
-Real power out meter using parts from Bird 43 wattmeter. (1 kw slug)
-Set up for handshake with tuner and transceiver.
-4:1 balun input. Set up for 20 meters but input tunable with auto tuner.
-Comprehensive low voltage and control system using sequential arming switches.
-High voltage meter.
-Grid Current meter.
-Plate current meter.
-Power out wattmeter.
-On rollers
-3 extra 4-1000A Tubes (Pulls).
Local Pickup Only. $1,250.
