BC-357 Lot of 2

BC-357 Aircraft Marker Beacon
Receivers

For Sale a lot of two BC-357
Aircraft Marker Beacon Receivers
consisting of:

- A BC 357 B with case, both tubes
and sensitive relay. I recall
modifying this about 50 years ago to
pad it down from 75 MHz to 50 MHz to
use as a transmitter on-the-air
indicator.

- A BC 357 H with 1 tube and back of
case missing. It does include the
12C8 tube and sensitive relay. I
donít know its history, but the
bottom and top wiring look untouched
to me.

These have been with me for about 50
years. They are dusty, but the
case/chassis are in fairly good
shape. I can email any pictures you
would like. They are being sold AS-
IS.

Schematics and history of these
radios are on the web. They brought
home a lot of our men and aircraft
safely by indicating runway markers.
Radios of this type were used in B-
24, B-25 (Doolittle Raid) and other
aircraft.

The 3 tubes and 2 sensitive relays
are probably worth the price alone
if you don't want to own a piece of
history.

I hope these go to a good home.

Price: $18.00 for both plus shipping
(7 Lbs. USPS from Zip 29926)
