6 Meter Station: Icom IC551D/Teletec DXP L-180/MFJ

I purchased this several years
ago, I found the IC551D new in
the unopened box at a garage
sale. I have used it several
times a week or more when the
band is open for years. The only
problem I had was in early 2013
when the crystal in the
oscillator failed. I sent it to
Burghardt and they replaced the
crystal, tweaked the deviation
(it has both the optional FM
board as well as the VOX unit)
and brought everything in spec.
It operates flawlessly in all
modes.
It includes the hand mic which
has never been used, a power
cable, (the rig requires a 12V
supply NOT INCLUDED.) The
connector and wire for the
Teletec amp, the original manual
& service bill from Burghardt
($240.85 labor and parts) as well
as the original box. I am only
selling because I just purchased
a new FTDX5000LT so no longer
need any of my current 6 meter
station.

The Teletec L-180 is a great 180
watt amp and I bought it used in
2012, It has new OEM finals (3
months ago) as while dusting my
station I must have bumped the
power output knob on the IC551D
and when I got on several days
later did not check (as I usually
do) the output power and shot the
whole 80 watts to it taking out
one of the finals but I just
replaced both. It takes 12 to 15
watts drive for 180 watts out. It
has SWR protection but apparently
not excessive overdrive
protection. It works as it did
prior to the incident and has a
great pre amp that truly helps.
It includes a copy of the owners
manual & the 12V power cord. It
also requires a 12V power supply
at 30 amps for full power out.
Power supply IS NOT INCLUDED.

I purchased the MFJ-906 new, I
hesitated but it is a great
tuner. I can go from the CW
portion to SSB or AM with very
little tweaking, I calibrated the
watt meter with my Bird and it is
dead on accurate. It comes with
the original box and a power cube
(not the MFJ power cube) for the
lighted meter. There is no manual
as MFJ does not provide one but
has you download it from their
site. If that's a problem I can
print and send.

I travel extensively to NY, NJ,
CT, MA, PA, OH, IN and if your
close to an interstate or near a
town I visit I may be able to
meet somewhere and deliver free
of charge, let me know if that is
of interest and we can see if we
can work it out.

Everything is in excellent
condition except a couple small chips on the top right of the
IC551D, if you want close up
pictures let me know and I can
email. Power supplies are not
included or for sale as I use
them with my 2 meter IC251A and
amp.

Price is firm: $675.00 for all
plus shipping.
