Towers & Access

Universal #6-70 Tower (70-ft.)

$500. Universal Aluminum Tower,
Yaesu Rotor, Cushcraft antenna, plus
extra HAM-M rotor. Buyer will take the
tower down in West Michigan.

Model Numbers:

= Universal Towers Standard Model #6-
70. 80 mph wind loading 6.0 Sq.Ft.
Aluminum. Freestanding. 70-feet tall
plus mast. Buyer will need to purchase a
new Universal Towers Base Footing,
Model B-26. Please see the Universal
Towers website in Clinton Township,
Michigan, for complete specifications.

= Yaesu G-800SDX rotor and controller
for medium size ham antennas. The
operator can preset a heading in the
SDX model, and the antenna will rotate
automatically to this heading.

= Cushcraft A-3S Triband, 3-element
beam, for 10, 15, and 20M.


= HAM-M Rotor and controller,
including original owner’s manual, parts
list, and troubleshooting suggestions.
Plus spacers and shims.

= Existing inside tower rotor mounting
plate for the Yaesu rotor .

= Existing antenna mast for the triband

= 200+ feet of unused Cable X-Perts
flexible 50 ohm low-loss direct burial

= 70 feet of unused coax (no markings) 


= The Universal aluminum tower was
purchased and first erected in 1973. It
was taken down in 1987 and erected a
second time in 1995 on the site where it
now stands. It has never been guyed or
bracketed to a building, and it has been
free-standing without problems.

= Over the past 20 years, nearby tree
branches grew and knocked down one
element of the Cushcraft triband beam,
which was purchased in 1995. The
sections of the damaged element were
subsequently stored inside and are

= The HAM-M rotor and controller were
purchased in 1973 and have not been
used since 1987.

= The Yaesu rotor and controller have
not been used in 10 years.

= The current operating condition of the
tower components, rotors, antenna, and
coax are unknown and are being sold

Buyer will be responsible for taking the
antenna and tower down safely and for
removing all components at a time
agreed upon by the buyer and seller.
