SOLD! Icom IC-703+ HF/6 10 Watts

For sale is a GREAT condition IC-
703+ HF/6m QRP (10 watts)
portable station. Built in ATU,
high stability TXCO (.5ppm), AF
DSP, and a hot receiver! Has 3x
AM Filter settings -- I have read
that the WIDE filter is just the
roofing filter. However, I don't
think that the Narrow filter is
stock! I am the second owner and
the readio is in EXCELLENT
condition. I honestly would give
it a 95/100. The built in tuner
will tune my POS antenna from
160m - 6! The antenna is the
matchbox from the EARCHI 6-40
Endfed that I modified with a ~55
14 ga element and a short
counterpoise. I have made TONs
of QSOs portable with just 3
things: IC-703+(and mic), 22AH
SLA, and either my LnR 10/20/40
EF, LnR 15m EF, or the EARCHI
hacked up antenna. Of course, a
22 AH SLA defeats some of the
purpose of going portable, but
this setup works about a full day
on a 7AH SLA or my friends Zippy
LiFePo 8+ AH!

Now I admit, IF DSP on newer
radios works better for QRM and
other RF hash than the 703+ AF
DSP, but after selling my old IC-
7200, this radio has been my
primary for a year. It comes
with the Up/Down hand mic, kick
stand, power cable with fuses and
PowerPoles, original box with all
packing material, manual,
accessories. I love this rig,
but since moving I have no where
to operate portable anymore! I
would like a larger TRX for my
daily driver and 100 watts would
be nice. That being said, I have
had great QSOs with this over the
years. If you check my QRZ
Callsign Lookup page, you'll see
my All Continents award on 10
meters. I was working QRP /P at
the Jefferson Memorial Forest in
Louisville KY (not exactly an RF
quiet area) and an LnR 10/20/40
antenna. Heard a decent pile up,
but had no idea who it was. Got
through after a few minutes and
paper logged it. I didn't
realize until a couple weeks
later, it was a DXPedition to
Antarctica! Completely surprised
me happily. Since then, I have
worked all over the Americas,
Europe, A few Japanese hams,
Australia, and even Alaska / HI
during field day! I know for
sure I will regret selling this,
but I have my eyes on an IC-7410.
Please: PayPal only -- I think
$650 is a fair price (including
shipping, handling, PP fees and
such.) Feel free to contact me
and make a REASONABLE offer!
