Measurements Corp. Model 59 Grid Dip Megacycle Meter, manufactured in Boonton, NJ, Excellent Condition, near museum quality, with original manual.
A vintage multi-purpose test instrument which functions as:
A grid dip meter;
A variable frequency oscillator;
An absorption wavemeter;
An oscillating detector;
A tuned circuit absorption detector.
Complete with power supply, oscillator unit, and coil set.
The coil set is original to this unit, with all coils bearing matching serial numbers (#11197), which in turn match the serial number of the oscillator unit (#11197). The coils were individually calibrated at the factory at time of manufacture, matching them to the specific oscillator unit for maximum accuracy.

Power Requirements: 117 v, 50-60 Hz, 20 watts
The instrument is in excellent working condition, and I have used it within the past few days to check some VHF LC tuned circuits.
The Measurements Corp Model 59 has long been considered by many to be the finest instrument of its type ever sold.
This is a vintage instrument, with this particular example probably manufactured in the late 1940s or early 1950s. The 24-page manual is dated 1947.
