HENRY 3K Classic EXPORT 8877

Up for sale is a very clean and
strong Henry 3K Classic export.
The amp comes with all original
documentation including receipt
and owners manual. This is the
most robust 3K using the
3cx1500A7, that Henry produced.
The cooling air exits the back of
the RF deck, and the tube is
mounted horizontally in the
chassis. This design was changed
after a very limited number of
this layout was produced due to
cost saving measures by Henry.
Much quieter than the upward
exhaust models.
4400 VDC on the plate at 1.2A CCS
Fresh Eimac 3cx1500A7 tube
35-45 watts in equals legal limit
output
tested to over 2500W output (all I
have is a 2500w slug for a bird,
and it will bury it). No hidden
issues or problems, legal limit
with ease.
VERY HEAVY at 220/230 pounds. this
particular amp has the 5K power
supply (hence the weight @ 220 or
so). I am pretty stable on the
price though, the only other 3K I
have seen with the more robust
earlier RF deck (like this one)
went for slightly north of $3000.
This one is much cleaner, the
inside RF deck is spotless as is
the power supply cabinet. There is
no cat hair, or alien substances
hidden inside. You are not buying
a patched up hunk of problems and
shady fixes. This Henry, I assure
you, is indeed in excellent
working condition.
>
> You can (if you decide to come
pick it up) sit and watch it
produce legal limit without the
slightest hint of any grid
current, this is a testament to
the life left in the tube. I have
(and will again if you pick this
up) observe over 2500W output
while maintaining acceptable IP/IG
currents. Included is a platform
with castors to help ease movement
around your shack. A very rare
amplifier and a true workhorse.
Moving on to another adventure,
sailing down the east coast, so
much of my gear will be sold off.
2800.00 $
