This is a single-core unit, so a separate isolator (such as a large 31-Mix Fair-Rite core wrapped with 9 to 15 turns of coax) should normally be used with this product to provide common-mode isolation when used to build an OCF antenna. A commercially made isolator will also work fine.

This balun is typically used to build an OCF antenna. It is rated for 3 KW SSB or CW. It is also suitable for use with other antennas that have a 200 ohm feedpoint.

Internally, it is like new. I used it only with my 100 watt transceiver. (I don't even own an amplifier.) I am selling it because I have changed my antenna configuration and no longer need it for the new configuration.

The outside has very minor cosmetic wear and is almost like new. Approximately 2 inches of wire is attached to each of the existing lugs to allow new antenna wires to be soldered. Alternatively, the lugs can be easily replaced with new lugs for a few cents.
