Heavy Duty 6m Elevation Rotator

HEAVY-DUTY ELEVATION ROTATOR FOR
SALE

I have a never-used heavy-duty
elevation rotator designed and
beautifully built by Eric Smith,
KB7DQH. I just received the
rotator in response to my request
to be able to reliably elevate my
9-element M2 antenna that is on a
50' boom.

The rotator is very similar to
the design of the rotator
successfully in operation by
Paul, K7CW. His rotator was also
designed and built by Eric,
KB7DQH.

The rotator is supported by the
towers mast. That mast can be
as large as 4" OD. The antenna
boom (that elevates) can also be
as large as 4" OD.

3/16" steel angle iron (3-inches
on each side) forms one-half of
the rotator/mast clamp and one-
half of the rotator/boom clamp.
The angle iron that clamps to the
mast is 27" long; the angle iron
that clamps to the boom is 24"
long.

The boom is placed on the 24"
angle iron and is U-bolted to
that angle iron. Between the U-
bolts and the boom is a rounded
piece of metal (approximately 6"
long) to spread the U-bolt
pressure over a length of the
boom, rather than to put clamp
pressure on the boom at the
clamping points.

The heavy duty bearing is located
on a 1/4 steel assembly.

The actuator is a Van Weise, 24"
stroke by 2" diameter. The
actuator has limit switches and
operates on 24-36 VDC.

Unfortunately, I cannot use the
rotator and Im offering to sell
the entire package, which
includes the following:

Elevation rotator (including
clamps & actuator)

Actuator power supply

Elevation sensor/digital
readout

The rotator has never been used,
however, I powered up the
actuator to confirm that it works
properly.

73,

Mark, K6FG
