USSR/Russian "Vostok" Radio Room Clock

This is a very nice, clean Soviet wall clock
with the Merchant and Navy Radio Room
dial. It shows both the 500 KHz and 2182
KHz international distress frequency
listening periods. Normally the 2182
listening period sectors are green but for
some reason the Soviets liked the color

In any event here is a very nice example. It
has been closely examined and oiled so it
should provide many reliable years of
service. The clock comes with the special
wall mounting "stand". Many of these clocks
you will find on eBay do not. It is difficult to
mount the clock in the wall without it. The
clock is heavy: six pounds. The movement
is very solidly built as you would expect for
a military grade clock. It is Commie, made
at the "Vostok" ( East) factory in Chistopol,
Tatarstan which means they made plenty of
'em for a lotta years and parts are easily
available on eBay. Also there are a couple
videos that show how to take it apart, fix it,
etc. The Russian and Ukrainian eBay
sellers peddle them as "submarine clocks"
which in fact some if them were except they
didn't have the fantasy dials that dome
enterprising capitalist-type dreamt up.

I am asking $175.00 plus shipping for this
great item. I assure you the shipping will be
nowhere near as expensive than if you
bought one from Russia.
